Pancake Supper |
Nov 3, 2009 |
The Annual Sylvania Rotary Foundation Pancake Dinner took place on Election Night. The day was enjoyable for all who participated and attended. Balloon-master Russ Wood kept the younger attendees entertained while John Cleveland entertained the rest of us. This year's ticket sales and sponsors contributions will surely benefit the Foundation and the Sylvania area. Our thanks go out to Scott Coolman for all his hard work organizing this event. |

Sylvania Rotary is proud to assist the Komen Foundation in their quest. Thanks to everyone who participated and volunteered to make the 15th Annual Susan G. Memorial Day Parade |
|
The Sylvania Memorial Day Parade is a salute to America's Veterans and in honor of those who died in defense of our country — from the American Revolution to Operation Iraqi Freedom. The parade consists of Sylvania's wonderful marching band, civic groups and veterans units honoring World War I, War World II, The Korean and Vietnam Conflicts, Desert Storm, and the liberation of Grenada, Panama, Iraq and Afghanistan. Sylvania Rotarians distribute over 1000 American Flags along the parade route. |

Reverse Raffle and Monte Carlo Night |
|
The Reverse Raffle Committee, under the chairmanship of Kathleen Sabback, again provided an evening of fun that also helped SAFS raise Capital Improvement funds for its new addition. Included with dinner were $1000 in gaming chips that were later exchanged for chances at door prizes. Over $6000 in the Reverse Raffle was split between the four finalists. The silent and live auctions raised additional funds for Sylvania Area Family Services. |
